Breast reduction

The health insurance fund can approve a breast reduction when the procedure will improve functional problems. The technique differs depending on the size of the breasts, the age of the patient and the quality of the skin. The scars can be 'anchor-shaped’ (encircling the areola, extending vertically from the areola to the fold of the breast and horizontally in the fold of the breast itself) , 'vertical' (encircling the areola and extending vertically from the areola to the fold) , or 'peri-areolar' (just encircling the areola).
